In this short video, we look at the borehole water drilling process in a millstone grit area in the North of England and highlight the cost of having a borehole drilled. We at Springhill do not drill boreholes, but based on our experience of dealing with many borehole drillers in the North of England, the price for drilling a borehole varies. Current prices (spring 2025) suggest that the basic price of a borehole can vary between £20k and £35k, depending on where you live and which driller you use. Filtration will be needed, and this can add around £5k to £10k to the price, depending on water quality.
